1995 Rover Mini Cooper 1.3i - BRG

This lovely little 1.3i Cooper has been in the hands of loving enthusiast owners for most of its life. Whilst it’s not absolutely immaculate, it’s rock solid where it needs to be and drives beautifully.  It’s in the best colour – metallic British Racing Green, and looks absolutely fantastic on the road.

 

12 months MOT with no advisories, and 73,000 miles from new. Service history from new, including the original Rover service book etc, which shows that the car was serviced yearly, and then there are stacks of bills from Minisport and other suppliers.

The car has recently had two new door skins and a pair of A Panels. It’s fitted with a Maniflow exhaust (which isn’t overly loud like the majority of Mini exhaust systems, but it has a fantastic burble!) and quick shift gear change.  Excellent Falken tyres all round and has recently had a new heater matrix, too. The car fires up on the button, and runs and drives particularly well. The brakes stop the car very well, and the gearbox is slick, with no crunches between changes etc. The electrics all work fine, including the spotlamps.

Structurally the car is solid in all the right places. The rear subframe is like new and the sills and floors all appear to be nice and solid. The scuttle panel is in good order and the seams under the headlamps are pretty good, too! The car has been painted at some point and it could do with a machine polish up, but it’s not terrible, by any means. Just don’t come expecting the car to have a concourse show finish! All panels are a good colour match, as you will be able to see in the pictures.

The interior is nice and tidy – the driver’s seat has had a repair at some point but it’s been done quite tidily so it doesn’t stand out a lot. The wooden dash has faded a bit, as with the majority of Minis of this age!

 

If you’re looking for a really nice, well-sorted, and USABLE classic Mini – then this is probably the car for you! You won’t find another SPi Cooper for this sort of money.
