1994 Rover Mini 1275cc - Flame Red

£££ SOLD £££

MOT until March 2015.

This little Mini was bought new from Royles Rover, Alderley Edge, on the first of July 1994. The comprehensive service history file shows that he kept the car for well over 10 years, and kept it meticulously serviced and maintained – with all the bills and receipts to prove. I even have the original sales receipt, along with original brochures etc.The car remains in excellent order today, having had a restoration two or three years ago. This included a great deal of work, including a full body respray, with new front wings and front panel, sills, heelboards and subframes. You will be able to see from the pictures what a lovely, straight car this is – and you certainly won’t have any major worries for years to come!

The car has been painted professionally and looks great. It sits on deep-dish Minilite style wheels and has sportspack arches fitted. There are no visible bubbles anywhere on the body – that certainly says something about the quality of the bodywork restoration that was carried out. It’s not just had a quick blowover paint-job!

The car starts and runs very healthily and drives very nicely indeed. It’s looks to have had new dampers (and probably cones) all round. It’s still got its original 1275cc engine and this fires up straight away and ticks over very smoothly. The only issue to speak of is that it needs a new engine steady – I have the part on order and will have fitted it before the car is sold. The car is showing 87,000 miles from new, which averages out at around 4,000 miles per year – not a great deal!

The interior is clean and tidy, with good original seats under the seat covers. The carpets are new and the door cards and handles etc are all in good order. The car has had some extra speakers fitted on the back shelf, but they are not wired in – it comes with everything required to do that – or, you can return it to original spec very easily.

All in all, this is a VERY clean and tidy car, and is priced very reasonably for a quick sale. In my eyes, this is the best of the later cars – 1275cc engine, but fitted with a carb rather than fuel injection, so it’s still very simple to tinker with! If you come and have a look, you certainly won’t be disappointed.
