This cracking little Mini is in great order and is ready for everyday use. It’s had a great deal of work carried out during its life and has been used regularly and never stood for long periods. The last few owners over the past 15 years or so have all clearly been enthusiast owners and I have thousands of pounds worth of bills for works which have been carried out on the car.

Over the past few years, the following work has been carried out (plus much more!):

· New front wings and front panel
· New scuttle panel and A Panels
· New door skins (frames in good order)
· New fully vented sills and door steps
· Replacement cylinder head and Stage 1 Kit
· New wheel bearings and brakes
· Full respray
· New seats, carpets and door cards
· New Minilite-style alloy wheels.

Bodily, the car is in very nice order. All the seams, door bottoms etc are very solid and all the panel gaps are great. There are a few areas of bubbling which the new owner may want to sort out but it’s quite usable as it is and won’t deteriorate in a hurry. It’s MOT’d until next March 2016. This age of Mini is a nice car for regular use, and they’re great fun to drive! The engine runs very well indeed, does not overheat and pulls very well indeed. The brakes and suspension are also in great order and the car rides very well indeed with no nasty clunks or rattles. The gearbox is nice and smooth with no worn synchromesh, another common issue with many Minis. The speedometer is showing 17,000 but this has been replaced so I’m unsure as to the car’s ‘true’ mileage. This isn’t anything to worry about – the car has had some serious restoration work so mileage doesn’t really matter at this point.

There are no nasty patches of welding anywhere and you’ll have nothing to worry about for the next MOT, I don’t think! The subframes are both in good order, as are the mounting points on the bodywork, and the sills and floors etc are all solid too.

The car has been painted professionally and looks great. Although this obviously isn’t the same standard of finish as a new Jaguar, etc, you can see for yourself that it’s very good indeed and has a fantastic shine. It sits on deep-dish Minilite style wheels and has the wider Wood & Pickett wheelarches fitted.

The interior is very clean and tidy indeed – the seats and headlining are in great order, as are the carpets. The previous has customised the dashboard and parcel shelf. However, it would be very easy to return it to original spec – it’s just stick-on vinyl.

All in all, this is a really clean and tidy car, and is priced very reasonably for a quick sale. If you come and have a look, you certainly won’t be disappointed. It would also be ideal for a new driver, as it’s a 998cc – insurance will be much more affordable!
