This is a nice example of one of Britain’s favourite cars – the MGB GT. Superb looks, combined with simple mechanicals means that the MGB was (and still is) a big hit. Values are certainly on their way up, so grab a bargain whilst you still can! It’s cheap to insure for everyone – even people under 25 will find that insurance prices are very reasonable. The car has MOT until 21st January 2017, and the car is tax exempt.

The car is in very good and driving condition, and could go into regular use with no bother at all. Fitted with some nice extras including a Weber 45 DCOE carb, LCB manifold, and has been subject to some bodywork restoration in the past few years, with new panels fitted, and a respray.

As you can see in the pictures, the paintwork has a good shine and the colour match is great throughout. Obviously, for a car at this price, there are some minor defects but these are very difficult to notice. It’s better than the majority! There are some small bits of overspray here and there, but nothing worrying. No bubbles on the wing-top seams or at the door bottoms; the only minor bubbling to speak of is at the bottom of the boot lid – very difficult to photograph! The chromework is generally good, with some minor pitting here and there.

The black cloth and vinyl interior is also very tidy and most of it looks to be original. It’s not a concourse standard interior but would tidy up very easily – the new owner may want to fit a new carpet set.

The car starts, runs, drives and stops very well. The car pulls readily and there are no nasty rattles, whines or anything like that. Gears all select very well and the overdrive works fine. It stops well too, thanks to the brake servo!

Structurally, the car appears to be very sound. The sills, castle rails, chassis legs and spring hangers all appear to be fine. There aren’t any nasty patches of welding, and it hasn’t been hacked about like so many of these cars have. You’re more than welcome to come and have a good prod around!

This is a bargain price for a fantastic car which attracts a great deal of attention wherever it goes. Obviously it’s not a concourse car but it’s generally very good, but is ready to use and enjoy. You’ll be able to see that for yourself when you come to view.
