These little MG Midgets are getting few and far between and are becoming more and more desirable all the time!

This car has been built to ‘fast road’ spec, I will detail more below. However, it’s a very usable thing and is fantastic fun to drive.

Recent works over the past few years have included:

· Bodywork restoration, with full respray
· 1275c engine completely rebuilt
· Fast road camshaft with lightweight cam followers and pushrods
· LCB exhaust manifold
· Electronic ignition
· Gas shock conversion front and rear
· Minilite style alloy wheels (bolt-on)
· Unleaded cylinder head
· Brake servo fitted
· New soft-top
· New brakes
· Very rare ‘Nardi’ steering wheel


The car has an MOT until October 2016, and is of course tax-free. Bodily, the car is nice and solid, and the panel gaps are all very good. There are a few small imperfections in the paint, but you can see it presents very well indeed. Rear wing-top seams are very solid and free from bubbling. New wheels and tyres have recently been fitted and set the car off very well indeed.

The car drives very well, pulling very strongly above 3000rpm thanks to the new camshaft. It sounds fantastic and attracts a lot of attention! Gears select well, and there are no nasty whines from the back axle, and no ‘slop’ in the drivetrain.

Structurally, the car appears to be very solid indeed, having had a full restoration in the past. Sills, spring hangers etc all appear to be sound.

The interior is clean and tidy, but the (original) colour may not to be your taste. A Nardi steering wheel is fitted. The hood is in great shape and a hood cover is included. Under the bonnet is very clean indeed, as you will be able to see from the pictures. Boot rack also included!

A large history folder is included which documents a lot of the restoration work which has been carried out.

All in all, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants a well-sorted car that can be used regularly without any worries.
