1968 MGB GT - Tartan Red
£££ SOLD £££
Available for sale in the very near future is this fantastic MGB. We are just waiting for the paperwork to come through before offering the car for sale. The car is available for viewing now and should be ready to go within the next week.
It's a crossover car between Mk1 and Mk2 so has some features from both ages. This makes it one of the most desirable types of GT to have - the later 4 Synchro gearbox but the neater styling of the earlier cars.
It has had a recent full body and structural restoration - including sills, castle sections, new front and rear wings and quite possibly door skins. The interior has good quality seat covers and a new carpet set. The car is fitted with disc wheels and hubcaps - these have been professionally rechromed at a cost of almost £250.
The car runs and drives well - fires up readily, and the brakes work very well indeed (non servo assisted). It has an alternator conversion. The car is fitted with an overdrive unit but this isn't functioning - I haven't yet had chance to investigate but this is more than likely to be an electrical fault, as it has been working recently.
Its paintwork is immaculate and all the seams etc are spot on. The work was all carried out by a coachbuilding firm and this is very obvious in the finish.
All in all, this car is one of the nicest GTs I've seen for a while and is priced very reasonably indeed. Please contact me if you would like to arrange a viewing.
